Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor or associate degree in drafting or related field with required experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience supporting electrical design/drafting.
• Experience with AutoCAD; knowledge of MicroStation and Excel.
• Ability to work in 2D and 3D environments.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn new design software.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, site evaluations, analytical designs and preparation of docs.
• Work on projects with diverse portfolio and clients.
• Design electrical schematics, grid layouts, power systems, lighting and controls.
• Follow company and project drafting standards.
• Set up CAD configuration and procedures at project start.
• Prepare engineering drawings from sketches using CAD software.
• Review drawings within scope, budget and schedule.
• Organize revisions and project information systematically.
• Assist with analysis of reports and drawings to plan designs.
• Ensure compliance with design codes and specifications.
