Job summary

Mathnasium of Pearland is looking for a Part-Time Lead to combine teaching with hands-on center management training. You will lead instructional staff, mentor instructors, track student progress, and support enrollment efforts using the Mathnasium Method.

Ideal candidates have strong math skills through Pre-Calculus, excellent communication and organizational abilities, and a genuine love for helping students. A math literacy test, work authorization, and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Must work a minimum schedule of Monday–Thursday 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM & Fridays 2:30 PM – 7:30 PM.
• Exceptional math skills through at least Pre-Calculus.
• A true love for working with students and a desire to cultivate teamwork.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and parent-communication skills.
• General proficiency in computer and software skills.
• Eagerness to learn and implement new training methodologies.
• Pass a math literacy test, provide valid work authorization, and pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and mentor instructional staff to effectively deliver individualized instruction.
• Support employee growth by providing direct, on-the-job training to instructors.
• Manage student learning progress, behavior, and engagement during sessions.
• Teach and tutor in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and tools.
• Build relationships with families, communicate student progress, and answer questions.
• Respond promptly to incoming leads and successfully enroll new students.
• Assist the Center Director with administering student assessments and building custom learning plans.
