Green Leaf Productions is seeking an experienced Assistant Editor with strong Avid Media Composer skills to support post-production in our Bethlehem office. The role includes organizing media, prepping assets for editors, and ensuring a smooth ingest-to-delivery workflow.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in post-production, proficiency with Avid MC and related tools, and excellent organizational and communication skills to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an Assistant Editor in film, television, or commercial post-production.
• Proficiency in Avid Media Composer (and familiarity with After Effects, Photoshop, Premiere and Media Encoder).
• Strong understanding of post-production workflows, codecs, and file management.
• Excellent organizational skills with extreme attention to detail.
• Ability to take direction and work under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills and the ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with frame rates, aspect ratios, audio syncing, and multi-cam workflows.

Responsibilities

• Ingest, organize, and sync footage in preparation for the editorial process.

• Manage proxies, transcoding, and media relinking tasks.
• Assist editors with rough cuts, pulls, stringouts, and revision updates.
• Handle exports, compression, and formatting for client review or delivery.

• Collaborate with the editorial team to troubleshoot technical issues and streamline workflows.
• Prepare project elements for handoff to color, sound, and finishing teams.
• Stay on top of backing up projects and footage to LTO-tape.

HIRING: EXPERIENCED ASSISTANT EDITOR — AVID MEDIA COMPOSER

Job Summary:

Green Leaf Productions is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Assistant Editor with Avid Media Composer experience in the film industry. This full-time role will support the post-production team by organizing media, prepping projects for editors, managing assets, and ensuring a smooth workflow from ingest to final delivery. Candidates are required to work in-house in our Bethlehem office, no remote work at this time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Basic knowledge of color grading and sound mixing workflows is a plus.
• Experience with Nexsis/Interplay envirenments is a huge plus.
