Job summary

Green Leaf Productions in Bethlehem seeks an experienced Assistant Editor with Avid Media Composer to support the post-production team from ingest to final delivery. This full-time, on-site role focuses on organizing media, prepping projects, managing assets, and maintaining efficient workflows.

You will assist editors with rough cuts, proxies, transcoding, and relinking, and help hand off project elements to color, sound, and finishing departments while ensuring robust backup procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist editors with rough cuts, pulls, stringouts, and revision updates.
• Handle exports, compression, and formatting for review/delivery.
• Maintain edit logs, version control, and archive protocols.
• Collaborate with editorial team to troubleshoot issues and streamline workflows.
• Prepare project elements for handoff to color, sound, and finishing teams.
• Back up projects and footage to LTO-tape.

Job Summary:

Green Leaf Productions is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Assistant Editor with Avid Media Composer experience in the film industry. This full-time role will support the post-production team by organizing media, prepping projects for editors, managing assets, and ensuring a smooth workflow from ingest to final delivery. Candidates are required to work in-house in our Bethlehem office, no remote work at this time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ingest, organize, and sync footage in preparation for the editorial process.
• Create and maintain organized project files, bins, and timelines.
• Manage proxies, transcoding, and media relinking tasks.
• Assist editors with rough cuts, pulls, stringouts, and revision updates.
• Handle exports, compression, and formatting for client review or delivery.
• Maintain edit logs, version control, and archive protocols.
• Collaborate with the editorial team to troubleshoot technical issues and streamline workflows.
• Prepare project elements for handoff to color, sound, and finishing teams.
• Stay on top of backing up projects and footage to LTO-tape.
