Bright Horizons Children's Centers is hiring an Assistant Teacher in the West Bloomfield, MI area. You will support daily activities, help maintain a safe classroom, and communicate with parents about milestones and progress.

The role requires background checks and a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for CDA/Associate/Bachelor’s in early education and for prior child care experience. A full-time schedule and opportunities for professional growth are provided.

Qualifications

• Candidates must pass required state and company background checks.
• 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred.
• CDA, Associate, or bachelor's degree in early education or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children.
• Maintain open communication with parents, sharing their child's daily milestones.
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines.
• Fulfill mandated reporter requirements as defined by the appropriate State agency, including reporting any suspected cases of child abuse or neglect to the agency and informing the director.
• Provide support in any classroom or age group where teaching coverage is needed across a center.
