Job summary

Galloway Roofing is seeking an Assistant District Sales Manager in Tampa, FL. This primarily field-based leadership role focuses on coaching the sales team while continuing to drive strong field sales performance.

You will shadow reps, coach on presentations, and help recruit and train the team, partnering with the Sales Manager to boost overall performance. The role blends field activity with occasional office time.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in roofing, home improvement, or outside sales.
• Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Comfortable selling in an in-home customer environment.
• Ability to lead by example and demonstrate effective sales techniques.
• Previous coaching, training, mentoring, or sales leadership experience is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to confidently handle customer questions and objections.
• Self-motivated, competitive, and results-driven.
• Strong organization and time-management skills.
• Comfortable working independently while also supporting and developing a team.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and other sales technology.
• Willingness to spend the majority of the workweek in the field.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Spend the majority of your time in the field, with some time in the office for meetings, training, and administrative responsibilities.
• Run leads and continue producing strong individual sales results.
• Lead by example by demonstrating Galloway Roofing’s sales process and best practices.
• Take sales reps with you in the field so they can shadow your customer interactions and presentations.
• Shadow reps in the field to help ensure they are following the sales process and provide real-time coaching.
• Help reps improve their presentations, overcome objections, close sales, and increase overall performance.
• Assist with recruiting and maintaining appropriate sales team staffing levels.
• Be a resource for sales reps when they need support with customers or sales opportunities.
• Assist with preparing and presenting sales meetings and training content.
• Assist with coaching and training new and existing sales reps.
• Work closely with the Sales Manager to support the overall performance of the team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Description

The Assistant Sales Manager is a primarily field-based leadership role for an experienced roofing sales professional who can lead by example while helping develop and coach the sales team.

Your primary responsibility is to continue producing strong sales results in the field while demonstrating Galloway Roofing’s sales process and best practices. You’ll also spend time working alongside other sales reps taking reps with you to shadow your appointments, shadowing reps in the field, and providing hands‑on coaching to help improve their performance.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys selling but is also ready to take the next step into sales leadership.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This is a primarily field‑based position with a hybrid field/office work environment. The majority of your time will be spent in the field working with customers and sales representatives, with regular time in the office for team meetings, training, coaching, and administrative responsibilities.

The role requires the ability to:

• Work a minimum of 40 hours per week, with flexibility based on customer and team needs
• Travel throughout the assigned Florida market and surrounding areas
• Remain active and mobile throughout the workday
• Occasionally climb ladders and access residential roofing areas as needed
• Conduct or assist with property and roof inspections when required
• Lift up to 50 pounds of equipment
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members
• Regularly use a computer, CRM, smartphone, and other technology
