An established industry player is seeking experienced prosecutors for their Felony Trial Division. This role involves prosecuting a variety of serious felony offenses, managing cases from grand jury presentations to trials. Candidates will engage in trial preparation, handle complex legal issues, and work with expert witnesses. The ideal candidate will have a J.D. degree, be a member of the New York State bar, and possess significant trial experience. The Queens District Attorney’s Office has openings for experienced prosecutors in our Felony Trial Division for Assistant District Attorneys in the four felony trial bureaus.
The Felony Trial Bureaus are primarily responsible for prosecuting a variety of felony offenses including attempted murders, robberies, burglaries, gun possessions, assaults, arsons, larcenies, vehicular homicides and driving while intoxicated as a felony, as well as auto thefts and street level drug sales. The cases are handled vertically from grand jury presentations, investigations, pre-trial hearings, plea negotiations, through trial. The Bureau is made up of trial prosecutors committed to the just resolution of these cases.

Qualifications: Interested applicants must possess a J.D. degree, be an active member of the New York State bar in good standing and have at least 3 years post - J.D. experience. Applicants must also have:
Salary will be commensurate with experience, ranging from $96,000to $114,675
