Job summary

Navarro County Criminal District Attorney’s Office in Corsicana, Texas is seeking a full-time felony prosecutor to join a three-attorney team in one of two Felony-level courts. The selected candidate will handle all aspects of felony prosecution, including intake, bond hearings, plea negotiations, trial preparation, jury/bench trials, probation revocation hearings and appeals.

Navarro County Criminal District Attorney’s Office

Start Date: August 1, 2026

The Navarro County Criminal District Attorney’s Office is seeking applications for a full-time felony prosecutor position beginning April 1. The selected candidate will be part of a three-attorney team assigned to one of two Felony-level courts. Our prosecutors handle all aspects of felony prosecution including case intake, bond hearings, plea negotiations, trial preparation, jury/bench trials, probation revocation hearings and appeals.

Our office functions as a team where attorneys gain valuable trial experience in a fast-paced environment.This is an excellent position for those who want to gain trial experience and desire to begin or continue a career in criminal prosecution.

Our office is located in Corsicana, featured in the new Travel Texas Ad Campaign, and known for, among other things, Navarro College, featured on the Netflix series, “CHEER”, the Original Collin Street Bakery and the 41,000-plus-acre Richland-Chambers Lake. Corsicana is 50 miles south of Dallas.

Starting salary is between $100,000 and $125,000 and is negotiable depending upon experience. Benefits include State and local bar dues, TCDRS retirement plan, CLE, and healthcare (100% for employee and 1 dependent child) dental (100% for employee) and optional vision and supplemental plans.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate or equivalent from an ABA-accredited Law School.

Preferred candidates will have 3 – 5 years of prior prosecution experience.
