Job summary

District Attorney’s Office, 26th Judicial District of Tennessee seeks an Assistant District Attorney to handle a fast-paced caseload in Madison County General Sessions and Juvenile Court.

Represent the state in arraignments, hearings, and sentencings, working with law enforcement, victim advocates, forensic experts, and other stakeholders.

Must be licensed to practice law in Tennessee and hold a J.D. from an accredited law school; ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.

Assistant District Attorney - District 26

The District Attorney’s Office, 26th Judicial District of Tennessee is seeking an Assistant District Attorney. This position will be responsible for handling a fast-paced caseload in Madison County General Sessions and Juvenile Court.

The 26th Judicial District of Tennessee encompasses three counties: Madison, Chester, and Henderson. The position is in Madison County.

Responsibilities

• Representing the state in court proceedings, which includes but is not limited to arraignments, preliminary hearings, and sentencings.
• Managing a caseload while collaborating with law enforcement officers, victim advocates, forensic experts, and other stakeholders involved in prosecutions.
• Communicating with crime victims and their families.

Qualifications

Compensation

• Salary will be commensurate to experience.
• Salary is determined in accordance with Tennessee Code § 8-7-226
