Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Assistant Distribution Engineer in the Newton, MA area to support the design of 2.4kV to 34.5kV overhead and underground distribution projects. Under supervision of a licensed PE, you will assist in preparing designs, BOMs, cost estimates, and deliverables while adapting plans to budget and client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field from ABET program required.
• FE exam or EIT certification preferred.
• Strong communication and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in distribution project design from concept through design completion.
• Prepare voltage packages for overhead/underground projects.
• Perform distribution calculations (voltage drop, pole loading).
• Support field inspections and project data compilation.
• Assist with client presentations and reports.
