Job summary

Gator Gypsum, Inc. in Pompano Beach, FL is sourcing an Assistant Dispatcher to coordinate orders and deliveries with the Dispatcher/Operations Manager. You will help direct day-to-day operations and maintain logs and records for transportation activities.

Preferred candidates have at least 2 years of dispatching experience and a high school diploma or GED, with strong communication and organizational skills to support fast-paced warehouse environments.

Qualifications

• 2 Years Minimum experience in the industry or a similar industry.
• Minimum of 2 years of dispatching experience
• High School Degree or GED

Responsibilities

• Maintain receiving, warehousing and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures
• Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements and enforces adherence to requirements
• Completes warehouse/delivery requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results
• Communicate with customers, drivers, vendors, and internal departments to provide updates and resolve issues.
• Respond promptly to schedule changes, delays, emergencies, and other operational challenges.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, delivery records, service documentation, and transportation reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and applicable transportation requirements.
• Coordinates with personnel to ensure that service to the customer meets an acceptable standard and generates positive feedback
• Cooperates with the safety team and GMS Risk Management representatives in the investigation and analysis of potential hazards to enforce methods and reduce losses of claims.
