Job summary

Northeastern offers a collaborative environment for students and staff. The Assistant Director, under the Executive Director for TRIO SSS-Access, coordinates recruitment, enrollment and academic support for program participants, and supervises advisors and coaches.

You will develop tracking systems, provide academic advising, and help prepare reports and budgets while coordinating campus and community partnerships to advance student success.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in education, counseling, counselor education, psychology or related field.
• Extensive knowledge of recruitment, academic mentoring and follow-up tracking.
• Experience in student support services at four-year colleges or universities.
• Experience with students with disabilities in higher education preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to develop student programming and conduct instruction.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment, enrollment and academic support for SSS-Access program.
• Supervise SSS Advisor, peer coaches and faculty coaches.
• Develop and evaluate tracking systems for enrollment and academic progress.
• Provide academic advising and oversee development of Student Success Plans.
• Assist with budgeting, reports and program evaluations.
• Collect and maintain participant records and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate participant orientations and partnerships on and off campus.
• Support graduate school admissions and financial aid guidance.
