The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is seeking an Assistant Director of Student Success in Undergraduate Programs. This role leads the Business Pathways Academy (BPA) and partners across academic, co-curricular, and community-based experiences to drive engagement, achievement, and retention.
You will monitor BPA student progress, provide proactive advising, and develop facilitated study groups. The position emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and data-informed evaluation.
The Assistant Director of Student Success is a program leadership role within the Student Success unit, responsible for the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of cohort-based student success programming that supports academic achievement, engagement, and retention.
Bachelor's degree.
A total of three (3) years (36 months) in education, training and/or work experience in higher education academic student retention services.
Master's degree in Higher Education or a field related to the position
Experience designing and implementing cohort-based or transition programs
Experience working with students in academic transition and/or on low academic warning and/or students of concern
This is a 100% full-time Civil Service 5002 - Program Coordinator position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after the search close date. The budgeted salary range for this position is $60,000-$70,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, and internal equity considerations.
