Job summary

Foundations Early Learning Center in Anderson, SC is seeking an Assistant Director to oversee daily operations, support teachers, and ensure licensing compliance. This role involves engaging families in a STEAM-focused learning environment and helping implement developmentally appropriate curricula.

You will work with a dedicated team to provide quality early childhood education, supervise staff, and contribute to a positive, growth-oriented school culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21 years.
• High school diploma or equivalent; homeschool diplomas must be through an accredited association.
• EDU 119 required or an associate’s degree or higher in early childhood education preferred.
• At least three years of experience as a lead teacher in a licensed childcare setting.
• Coaching/mentoring experience in a licensed childcare setting required.
• Ability to pass background checks and health assessments.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. for child safety and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Help manage daily operations of the childcare school, ensuring compliance with state licensing requirements and company policies.
• Perform administrative duties, maintain records, give tours to families, and keep operations running smoothly.
• Partner with families to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Support teachers in implementing curriculum and creating developmentally appropriate classrooms that spark curiosity and growth.
• Nurture positive relationships with families, teachers, licensing representatives, and the community.
• Work in the classroom when needed to assist and support staff.
