Job Overview

The George Washington University's School of Business (GWSB) is seeking an Assistant Director, Recruiting and Admissions to support its academic mission. This role involves planning and executing recruitment and admissions strategies for graduate business programs, including MBA, MS, and non-degree options. The position reports to the Director of Graduate Admissions Operations and involves supervising temporary staff or student workers, building relationships, analyzing data, evaluating applications, and representing the university at various events.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate admissions workflows for timely processing and decision-making.
  2. Collaborate with application processing staff and report issues to the Director.
  3. Manage prospect and applicant data using systems like Slate, Salesforce, Target-X, and Banner.
  4. Prepare datasets and reports for enrollment analysis.
  5. Handle operational functions such as Change of Term, Major, Deferral, and scholarship activities.
  6. Work with Program Directors, Advisors, and Career Services to ensure excellent customer service.
  7. Assist in planning and executing recruiting events and developing communication strategies.
  8. Support application processing and file review procedures, including interviews and evaluations.
  9. Manage relationships with various university offices and coordinate with student assistants.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned, including cross-team training and backup tasks.
Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus 2 years of professional experience or a Master's degree or higher in a relevant field. Degree must be conferred by the start date. Equivalent education, training, and experience may be considered.

  • Experience in fast-paced environments with attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal, team, and communication skills.
  • Experience supervising data entry and administrative staff.
  • Proficiency with databases such as Salesforce, Target-X, Slate, or Banner.
  • Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.

Additional Information

Salary Range: $45,925.13 - $75,829.87

Location: Foggy Bottom, Washington, D.C., with remote work options.
