Thurston County Public Health and Social Services (PHSS) seeks an Assistant Director for the Administration Division in Olympia. This role helps develop and implement department plans, advance health equity, and improve access to essential services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public health, social services, business administration, public administration, finance, accounting, or related field.
• Five years of senior management-level experience in administrative/operations management with at least three years of supervisory responsibilities.
• Proficiency with personal computer applications and data/report analysis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations on behalf of the Department Director ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and identify improvements and potential overlaps.
• Participate in budgeting and monitor divisional expenses; analyze costs and program effectiveness.
• Develop and analyze reports related to public health initiatives for decision-making.
• Foster partnerships with community organizations and government agencies.
