Automatic Data Processing, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Director of Product Development & Innovation in New Providence, NJ.

This hybrid role requires guiding product development strategies across designated brands, including trend translation, assortment planning, and global sourcing coordination. You will lead cross-functional teams from ideation to market launch, mentor staff, and drive category growth in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of product development/merchandising/brand management experience, ideally within a very fast-paced, quick turnaround industry.
• Toy, Tween or Craft experience is HIGHLY preferred.
• Experience with custom product development is required.
• Must be a dynamic, passionate leader with ability to multi-task amidst shifting priorities.
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively present in front of large audiences.
• Must have the ability to work in a hybrid capacity from our New Providence, NJ office at least twice per week.

Responsabilités

• Responsible for the vision of designated brands and driving product development and execution.
• Oversee the creative product development process from concept to merchandising pass-off with cross-functional teams.
• Drive new product execution while maintaining existing portfolio and identify growth avenues.
• Mentor the product development & innovation team to connect ideation with marketability and profitability.
• Collaborate with sales, merchandising, design, sourcing, compliance and senior leadership across functions.
• Coordinate with overseas offices on brands, new product development and global sourcing initiatives.
• Lead strategic sourcing and negotiations for new product categories with global teams.
• Ensure high quality across kids product categories through product safety and compliance.
