The Assistant Director of Wellness Promotion at the Shaw Wellness Institute is responsible for effectively implementing programs to improve students’ holistic wellness. The Assistant Director is responsible for creating and implementing population-based, prevention-focused health promotion efforts, with a particular focus on outreach to students and collaboration with campus partners in order to enrich the student experience. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent demonstrated experience is required.
A Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
Demonstrated experience in a public health or health promotion field through coursework or prior work or volunteer experience.Demonstrated organizational skills (e.g. coordinate programs and events, manage data, and prioritize multiple responsibilities).Demonstrated leadership skills (e.g. effective collaboration and self-motivation).Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with a variety of departments, interdisciplinary programs, and campus groups in a team-driven environment.Demonstrated strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.Ability to supervise, train, and advise students.
