Job summary

Montage International in Washington, DC is seeking an Assistant Director of Security to support the Director of Security and oversee daily operations of the Security Department. You will help establish security policies, manage incident reporting, and develop safety programs for the hotel.

You will lead a team, coordinate with other departments, train associates on OSHA rules, oversee access control and CCTV systems, and ensure compliance while delivering exceptional guest service and safe

Qualifications

  • Prior Safety and Security leadership experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience managing Workers' Compensation and General Liability claims.
  • Proficiency with basic law enforcement concepts.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Luxury hotel experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with establishing Fire Life Safety policies and procedures.
  • Develop and train associates in emergency preparedness procedures.
  • Assist in the implementation of the hotel’s key control program.
  • Actively participate in the property’s Safety Committee and take ownership of action items.
  • Collaborate with Director of Security to develop and implement department Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Assist in training associates on all OSHA-related rules and regulations and Workers Compensation Act as systems administrator for access control system and CCTV system.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned that may be outside the scope of duties, based on business needs.

Assistant Director of Security

Your Leadership Support and assist the Director of Security with managing the day-to-day operations of the Security Department.

  • Establish and implement security policies and procedures.

Must Haves
  • Prior Safety and Security leadership experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience managing Workers Compensation and General Liability claims preferred.
  • Proficiency, knowledge, and experience of basic law enforcement, a plus.
  • Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends.
  • Microsoft Office products; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Embrace Technology - continually learn, adapt, and master to new operating system.
  • Luxury hotel experience, a plus.

Physical Requirements
  • Grasping, holding, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending over.
  • Ability to stand and exercise mobility for extended periods of time during your scheduled shift.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and for extended periods during the shift.

The pay scale for the Assistant Director of Security position is $90,000.00. The pay scale is the base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like, that Montage reasonably expects to pay for the position.
