A prestigious school in Washington is seeking an Assistant Director, Safety and Security. You will manage safety initiatives and oversee security protocols while ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent security experience. Job Description:
Reporting to the Director of Safety and Security (Director), the Assistant Director, Safety and Security provides administrative and programmatic support to the Director as it pertains to all safety and security initiatives on campus.
Specifically, areas of responsibility include:

Classification:
Reporting: Reports to the Director of Safety and Security
Salary Range: $80,000 to $105,000 annually, depending upon education and experience
Supervision Exercised: For the purposes of management, performance assessment, and span of control, the Assistant Director, Safety and Security supervises the Front Desk Receptionist and works in coordination with the Director and the PECF Security Team.
Minimum Experience: A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
Education: Completed Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years direct Security experience specifically with managing security systems and the creation of short and long term security plans in lieu of educational experience
Certifications: Related certifications (e.g., CPP, CPTED, CBCP, AEM) preferred

As a community, we make the effort to support events in the life of the school and occasions that celebrate our students and colleagues. Performances, concerts, exhibitions, faculty and staff social gatherings, alumni gatherings athletic contests, and other shared experiences weave the adults and students of this community together.
Schedule: The position is Monday through Friday generally between the hours of 7:30 am and 4:30 pm, including ability to work occasional nights/weekends.
Work Environment: Ability to walk stairs and inclined walkways, work at a computer for extended periods of time, and walk for extended lengths of time over a sprawling multi-building campus. Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time either in front of a computer or in attendance at a school event; lift up to 50 pounds; use a hand truck and other equipment as needed.
