Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Rehabilitation with daily department operations and clinical oversight.
• Assist with staff scheduling, coverage, productivity, and performance management.
• Monitor documentation, Medicare/payer requirements, and regulatory compliance.
• Support quality assurance initiatives, audits, and corrective action plans.
• Collaborate with nursing, MDS, administration, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to therapists and therapy assistants.
• Assist with monitoring department metrics, including productivity, revenue, and clinical outcomes.
• Help ensure timely completion of evaluations, progress reports, recertifications, discharges, and other required documentation.
• Participate in surveys, audits, and compliance initiatives as needed.
• Serve as a department leader and support a culture of quality patient care, accountability, and teamwork.
• Assume leadership responsibilities in the Director of Rehabilitation's absence.
