Our goal is to help residents regain independence while providing a friendly environment and nutritionally enhanced meals. We are currently recruiting for a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team.

Purpose of this position

To treat and document care for residents with impairments affecting independence due to disease, under supervision of a physical therapist; participate in interdisciplinary team meetings as required.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Follow physicians’ orders and physical therapist’s directions.
  • Provide treatment to help residents maintain or improve function within their physical abilities.
  • Implement preventative measures and adaptive equipment to prevent decline.
  • Maintain accurate resident reports as required by regulations and payers.
  • Observe infection control procedures and ensure resident safety.
  • Work cooperatively with residents, families, staff, physicians, and other providers.
  • Follow all facility policies, safety procedures, and residents' rights policies.
  • Adhere to the Corporate Compliance Program and protect resident confidentiality.
  • Present a professional appearance, demonstrate dependability, and accept duties cooperatively.
  • Perform all duties effectively, timely, and professionally, including other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret medical information and communicate effectively with residents and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong reasoning skills to define problems and analyze data.
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
  • Active Physical Therapy Assistant License.
