Work Schedule: Fully onsite May-August; Hybrid available September - April
Requirements: Bachelor's degree required, with a focus on academic affairs, student affairs, communications, or related field. Two to four years of experience in program coordination, with a background in marketing, academic affairs, or student life initiatives.
Primary Function: The Assistant Director of Pre-College Programs will play a pivotal role in promoting and expanding outreach efforts to engage middle and high schools and the broader community with Point Park University and will be responsible for oversight of select summer programs and dual enrollment initiatives. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies, creation of marketing materials, prospective student and family engagement, overseeing website development to enhance visibility and participation in dual enrollment and summer programs.
Duties
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans to promote dual enrollment and summer programs, targeting middle and high school students.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of the department's website, ensuring it is up-to-date and user-friendly.
- Collaborate with the university marketing team to coordinate marketing efforts, including event invitations, announcements, and speaker bios.
- Oversee specific summer programs and be the point of contact for the specified programs for students, parents, and employees hired for the specific programs.
- Lead summer program initiatives at the direction of the Director.
- Oversee Summer Resident Assistants and student life programming for residential summer camps and intensives.
- Remain available on-call for select nights and weekends during summer programs for immediate concerns brought to the office's attention.
- Work closely with the Director to identify and explore innovative youth and high school programs to bring to a competitive market.
- Train and supervise additional part-time staff members, apprentices, and work-study students.
- Lead and develop onboarding materials for students attending summer camps and intensives.
- Coordinate dual enrollment outreach and intake of student concerns to ensure successful student experiences.
- Communicate with youth and high school students and parents by providing customer service and troubleshooting for dual enrollment and summer programs.
- Oversee registration, enrollment, and account management for summer programs.
- Other projects and duties as assigned by the Director.
