Job summary

Glen Oaks Senior Living Campus in New London, MN is seeking an ADON to assist in organizing and administering the nursing department and to supervise nursing staff. The role includes providing nursing care on shift and collaborating with medical staff to ensure high-quality resident care.

The ADON will validate MDS and Care Plans, support quality improvement, and participate in ongoing staff development. This position may include oversight of focus areas and participation in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Two years nursing experience required.
• Preferably geriatric long-term care experience or equivalent.
• Licensed to practice nursing in state of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in organizing and administering the nursing department.
• Supervise assignment and scheduling of nursing staff.
• Provide nursing care on shift when needed.
• Assist and cooperate with medical staff.
• Assist in solving nursing service problems.
• Implement company forms/systems and policies and procedures.
• Supervise maintenance of nursing/medical records.
• Validate accuracy of MDS and Care Plans.
• Support the facility quality improvement program.
• Conduct in-service and orientation programs.
• Review physician orders daily and monthly; participate in triple check process.
• Assist with DON responsibilities as requested.
• Supervise Residents Rights implementation.
• Attend in-services and staff meetings.
• Oversee focus areas such as wound care, infection prevention, restorative, assisted living, etc.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
