Job summary

Morgan Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing for a full-time, days role (Mon-Fri, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM). The position offers a salary range of $95,000.00 to $115,000.00 annually in Rhode Island, with responsibilities spanning clinical operations and staff leadership in a 120-bed sub-acute and long-term care setting.

The role emphasizes compassionate, high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid, unencumbered RN license in Rhode Island.
• Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital, nursing care center, or related healthcare setting.
• Supervisory experience with knowledge of leadership principles, staff development, and teaching practices.
• Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices strongly preferred.
• Strong communication skills with professionals, residents, families, staff, and agencies.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and regulations governing nursing care facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in planning all aspects of nursing operations and coordinating priorities.
• Serve as the care champion for the dialysis den and coordinate high standards of clinical care.
• Monitor unit activities, communicate policies, evaluate performance, and provide feedback/coaching.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with residents, families, staff, and the medical team.
• Conduct rounds to monitor care delivery, support services coordination, and staff morale.
• Oversee administrative functions related to Nursing Services to support compliant operations.
