Responsibilities

• Assist the director of nursing services with all functions of the nursing department and assume responsibility when the director is unavailable.
• Implement, direct, monitor, and report on nursing objectives and standards of care.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.
• Oversee assessment, planning, and evaluation in case management and direct resident care.
• Foster an environment supporting residents' rights and choices regarding care.
• Assist with staffing, performance management, and staff development.
