Summary of position

Responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing in managing nursing services, ensuring compliance with regulations, maintaining records, training staff, managing the department within budget, and following policies. Subject to on-call rotation.

This is a working manager position, requiring time on the floor with residents and staff.

Requirements of the position

Required Education And Experience

• Current RN license with the state
• Strong management and financial skills, adaptable to a flexible schedule, and able to travel occasionally overnight
• Positive, effective communication with residents, families, and staff
• Interest in working with long-term care residents and the elderly
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Meet health requirements and demonstrate basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Subject to call schedule

Preferred Education And Experience

• Experience in a fast-paced environment
• Post-acute care or healthcare experience preferred
