Summary of Position

Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) in managing and delivering nursing services, including planning, organization, supervision, and evaluation. Ensure compliance with regulations, maintain records, and oversee staff training. Manage the Nursing department within budget in the absence of the DON. Follow all policies and procedures. Subject to on-call rotation.

This is a working manager position, requiring time on the floor with residents and staff.

Requirements of the Position

Required Education and Experience

• Current RN license with the state.
• Strong management and financial skills. Flexibility for work schedule and occasional overnight travel. Ability to relate positively with residents, families, staff, and community members. Interest in working with long-term care residents and the elderly. Must meet health requirements and demonstrate basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Post-acute care or healthcare experience preferred.
