Sauk County Health Care Center in Wisconsin is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to assist the Director of Nursing in planning, supervising, and implementing nursing activities to assure quality of care for all residents.

The role includes participating in rounds, coordinating with Social Services, and ensuring compliance with Medicare requirements, infection control, and staff training.

Qualifikationen

• Associate’s degree in Nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1-2 years of nursing supervisory experience.
• Registered Nursing (RN) license.
• CPR certification within 6 months of hire.

Aufgaben

• Perform daily reviews of residents’ conditions in consultation with Social Services and the DON.
• Supports the Director of Nursing as a member of the clinical on-call team.
• Consult with nursing staff on residents’ conditions and concerns during rounds.
• Assist with maintaining communication with hospitals and other referring agencies.
• As a backup to the MDS duties, monitor care plans to ensure their effectiveness and ensure Medicare compliance.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and document wound assessments and treatments.
• Conduct nursing training sessions and arrange competency testing for staff.
• Screen new employees for infectious diseases and maintain vaccination records.
• Assist Administrator, DON, and Medical Director to develop and update policy and procedures.
• Maintain infection control policies and OSHA compliance.
• Complete various reports and assessments on resident and facility condition.
• Other duties as assigned.
