Job summary

Autumn Care of Nash in Nashville, NC seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing to lead and support the Nursing Service. You will collaborate with the Director of Nursing, Administrator, and Medical Director to ensure excellence in resident care.

The role requires an RN license and at least two years of supervisory experience in a care facility. Strong computer and EHR skills are essential to maintain compliant, high-quality care in a dynamic SNF environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum two years of supervisory experience in a hospital, nursing facility, or related healthcare setting.
• Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate electronic health record software.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in planning and directing the day-to-day Nursing Service operations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards and regulations.
• Maintain high quality of care for each resident at all times.
• Follow infection control policies and Nursing Policies and Procedures.

Position Summary:

The primary function of the Assistant Director of Nursing is to assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, managing, and directing the day-to-day functions of the SNF Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the facility. The Assistant Director of Nursing will work alongside the Director of Nursing with the Administrator and the Medical Director to ensure the highest degree of quality of care is maintained for each resident at all times. Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the facility's administration and Nursing Policies and Procedures.

Education/Qualifications:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a RN within the state in which you work or licensed as an LPN if the state you operate in allows.

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role in a hospital, nursing facility or other related healthcare facility, preferably in long term care.

• Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate through various software programs, including electronic health record software.
