Job summary

Valley Hill Health and Rehab in Hendersonville, NC seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing to support the Director of Nursing in coordinating daily nursing services for a skilled nursing facility.

You will help ensure high-quality resident care, compliance with regulations, and staff development. A leadership mindset and strong teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, unencumbered RN license in the relevant state.
• Minimum two years of supervisory experience in a hospital, nursing facility, or similar setting.
• Proficient with computers and navigating electronic health record systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing daily nursing operations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and quality of care standards.
• Collaborate with the Administrator and Medical Director to maintain high resident care.
• Uphold infection control and sanitation policies across the facility.

Position Summary:

The primary function of the Assistant Director of Nursing is to assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, managing, and directing the day-to-day functions of the SNF Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the facility. The Assistant Director of Nursing will work alongside the Director of Nursing with the Administrator and the Medical Director to ensure the highest degree of quality of care is maintained for each resident at all times. Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the facility's administration and Nursing Policies and Procedures.

Education/Qualifications:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a RN within the state in which you work or licensed as an LPN if the state you operate in allows.

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role in a hospital, nursing facility or other related healthcare facility, preferably in long term care.

• Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate through various software programs, including electronic health record software.
