Job summary

Regency Integrated Health Services seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – RN for Hidalgo Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Edinburg, TX. Lead nursing operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and advance quality of care in a nonprofit, community-focused facility.

You will collaborate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams, oversee staffing, participate in QAPI, and support MDS and care planning while promoting resident wellbeing and staff development.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF).
• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Texas in good standing.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing daily nursing operations in compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
• Promote continuity of care by coordinating nursing services with interdisciplinary teams, physicians, residents, and families.
• Assess staffing needs; participate in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training nursing staff to ensure appropriate coverage across all shifts.
• Develop staff schedules and assignments; monitor performance to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care delivery.
• Support daily facility start-up and assist with the implementation and monitoring of the nursing department’s QAPI program.
• Assist in reviewing clinical records, audits, and consultant reports; help develop and implement corrective action plans.
• Provide support with MDS assessments, care planning, and clinical documentation as needed.
