Job summary

Valley Hill Health and Rehab in Hendersonville, NC seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing to support the Director of Nursing in daily operations of the SNF Nursing Service Department. You will work with leadership to ensure quality care and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes supervision, staff development, infection control, and adherence to policies. RN licensure in NC is required; hospital or LTC supervisory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered RN license to practice in the state you work in, or an LPN license if the state allows.
• Minimum two years of supervisory experience in a hospital, nursing facility, or related healthcare setting, preferably in long term care.
• Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate electronic health record software.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, managing, and directing day-to-day Nursing Service Department functions.
• Collaborate with the Administrator and Medical Director to ensure high quality of care for residents.
• Follow all health, sanitation and infection control policies and maintain standards of practice.

Position Summary:

The primary function of the Assistant Director of Nursing is to assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, managing, and directing the day-to-day functions of the SNF Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the facility. The Assistant Director of Nursing will work alongside the Director of Nursing with the Administrator and the Medical Director to ensure the highest degree of quality of care is maintained for each resident at all times. Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the facility's administration and Nursing Policies and Procedures.

Education/Qualifications:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a RN within the state in which you work or licensed as an LPN if the state you operate in allows.

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role in a hospital, nursing facility or other related healthcare facility, preferably in long term care.

• Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate through various software programs, including electronic health record software.
