Are you a passionate and experienced nursing leader ready to take the next step in your career? We are seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our dedicated team at a well-established long-term care facility committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to our residents.

Position Summary :

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) will support the Director of Nursing in overseeing the clinical operations of the facility, ensuring regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and exceptional resident care. This leadership role involves mentoring and developing nursing staff, implementing policies and procedures, and collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist in managing and directing all nursing services in accordance with state, federal, and facility regulations.
  • Supervise and support nursing staff, including hiring, training, evaluations, and performance improvement.
  • Ensure resident care plans are implemented and updated to meet individualized health needs.
  • Lead quality assurance and infection control initiatives.
  • Conduct rounds to monitor care standards, compliance, and resident satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with physicians, families, and staff to ensure a team-based approach to care.
  • Participate in facility inspections, audits, and surveys.

Qualifications :

  • Current RN license in New York.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience in long-term care, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations related to long-term care (LTC) and skilled nursing facilities (SNF).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, resident-centered environment.

Preferred :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).
  • Prior experience as an Assistant Director of Nursing or Nurse Manager.
