Essential Functions:
- Assist the Director of Nursing in managing daily nursing operations
- Provide personal care ensuring safety and comfort, adhering to policies and regulations
- Develop and implement policies for nursing staff
- Ensure 24/7 nursing services
- Maintain job descriptions and staffing plans
- Address cultural practices respecting regulations
- Document incidents and accidents thoroughly
- Participate in committees such as Infection Control, Pain Management, and Quality Assurance
- Conduct daily rounds and participate in performance improvement activities
- Collaborate with other departments for resident care
- Ensure assessments and reassessments are performed timely
- Manage pain assessments and educate residents and families
- Promote independence and safety for residents
- Maintain equipment and environment safety
- Lead and role model as a team leader
- Follow infection control policies and report resident condition changes
- Implement resident care plans and attend meetings
- Coordinate staffing and budgeting with administration
- Manage costs and ensure regulatory compliance
- Support safety, confidentiality, and anti-discrimination policies
- Foster teamwork and effective communication
- Complete training and adhere to conduct standards
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school
- RN or LPN license in good standing
- Previous management experience preferred
- Effective communicator with residents, families, and staff
- Ability to respond decisively in emergencies
- Strong organizational and computer skills
- Compassionate, empathetic, and professional attitude
