This leadership role emphasizes collaboration, clinical judgment, and a restorative nursing philosophy to ensure high-quality care.

The ADON will oversee MDS, care planning, infection control, and performance improvement while guiding nursing staff and maintaining accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Licensed nurse in good standing with the State Board of Nursing.
• Strong leadership/management experience.
• Background in geriatric or long-term care nursing.
• Restorative care philosophy with strong assessment and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of nursing home regulations and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Support Staffing Needs: assist floor staffing when needed.
• Oversee Resident Care: contribute to MDS, care planning, performance improvement and infection control programs.
• Manage Nursing Staff: hire, train, evaluate, assign and delegate duties based on census and budget.
• Ensure Accurate Documentation: maintain up-to-date resident records.
• Develop Care Plans: collaborate with physicians and teams to design individualized plans.
• Support Staff Resources: ensure access to equipment, supplies and resources.
• Uphold Infection Control: conduct assessments and implement control measures.

We’re seeking a dedicated and reliable Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our team! This leadership role plays a vital part in ensuring quality resident care, staff support, and regulatory compliance. Success in this position requires dependability, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to multitask and collaborate in a dynamic environment.

Your Impact as an Assistant Director of Nursing

In this role, you will:

• Support Staffing Needs: Step in to assist floor staffing when needed

• Oversee Resident Care: Contribute to MDS, care planning, Performance Improvement, and Infection Control programs

• Manage Nursing Staff: Hire, train, evaluate, assign, and delegate nursing duties based on census and budget needs

• Ensure Accurate Documentation: Review and maintain up-to-date and accurate resident records

• Develop Care Plans: Collaborate with physicians, nursing teams, and consultants to design individualized care plans

• Support Staff Resources: Ensure timely access to equipment, supplies, and other care resources
