Job summary

Harmony West Des Moines is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing/Unit Manager to lead and inspire our clinical team. You will supervise the unit's activities, guide staff education, and uphold high standards of resident care in a supportive environment.

Qualified candidates will hold an Iowa RN or LPN license and CPR certification, with 5+ years of nursing experience and prior management experience preferred. Our facility emphasizes growth, infection control, and a positive workplace culture.

As a Unit Manager are instrumental in managing operations of your assigned unit. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Harmony West Des Moines by assisting with supervising the activities of all clinical staff on your assigned unit, providing guidance and education to clinical staff, assisting with instilling a positive and inclusive facility culture, ensuring established infection prevention practices are maintained and ensuring adequate staffing for our resident’s needs. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive an unparalleled standard of care.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, an unencumbered State of Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license, C.P.R. Certification. Prior experience managing a nursing department or unit and five (5) years of nursing experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
