Covenant Living is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to provide clinical supervision in the nursing department and support the Director of Nursing in a faith-based continuing care retirement community in Illinois. The role includes infection control, QA, restorative leadership, and coordinating educational offerings for the nursing team.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license in Illinois, a BSN is preferred, and has at least two years of leadership experience in acut/sub-acute/long-term

Qualifications

• RN nursing degree in the state required.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Two years of leadership experience in acute, sub-acute or long-term care required.
• Current RN license in good standing in Illinois.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Solid computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision in the nursing department.
• Support the Director of Nursing and cover in their absence.
• Assist nurse managers in nursing care decisions.
• Act as Infection Control Practitioner, QA and restorative lead.
• Coordinate educational offerings for the nursing department.
• Participate in Medicare and Insurance assessments and worksheets.
• Monitor MDS schedules and therapy minutes for billing.
• Oversee staff including interviewing, hiring, evaluations and discipline.

This position is responsible for the clinical supervision in the nursing department to insure high standards of care are being delivered in accordance with established policies and procedures and federal and state regulations. Supports the Director of Nursing and will assume functions of the Director of Nursing in his/her absence. Function as Infection Control Practitioner, QA and restorative lead of the facility. Helps coordinate educational offerings for the nursing department. Participate in Medicare and Insurance assessments, completing worksheets and evaluating conditions and cover ability. Monitor and track MDS schedules and therapy minutes for billing. Participate in staff oversight including interviewing and hiring, as well as evaluations and discipline of staff.

The ideal candidate will have:

An RN nursing degree in the State is required. Bachelor of Science degree in nursing, preferred. Two years of success in a leadership role, in an acute, sub-acute or longer term care setting, required. Current license, in good standing, as a Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois, required. Strong time management, self motivation and organizational skills. Excellent skills in assessing problems, planning and evaluating solutions. Computer and technological literacy, required.

#RN Compensation Pay Range: $96,324.00 - $137,020.50 per year

Reasonable Pay Estimate A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $96,324.00 - $137,020.50 per year. There are numerous factors taken into consideration in determining the actual offered rate of pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and external equity.
