Job summary

EHM Senior Solutions is hiring an Assistant Director of Nursing to support daily operations in a skilled nursing setting in Saline, Michigan. The role involves oversight of resident care, staff development, and regulatory compliance.

The ADON will participate in infection control, QAPI initiatives, and care planning, while coordinating with physicians and families to ensure high-quality resident outcomes. This is a full-time daytime position with on-call coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Michigan in good standing.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years in a skilled nursing facility management role.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing with overseeing daily nursing operations, resident care, and departmental programs.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management of nursing staff.
• Monitor infection control and antibiotic stewardship programs to promote resident safety and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct clinical rounds and audits to ensure quality care and adherence to facility policies and procedures.
• Monitor resident rehospitalizations and support staff education and interventions to reduce avoidable hospital transfers.
• Assist with quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives, resident care planning, and wound care oversight.
• Prepare for state surveys, inspections, and audits while supporting compliance with skilled nursing regulations.
• Collaborate with residents, families, physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and resolve concerns.
• Support ongoing staff education, policy implementation, and clinical performance improvement.
• Assume nursing department leadership responsibilities in the Director of Nursing’s absence.

Working Hours

Hours:Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM to 4 PM

On Call

On call:rotating evening and weekend on-call coverage responsibility

Required Education

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field is preferred.

Required Experience

• Active RN license in the State of Michigan in good standing
• CPR certification
• Minimum of 2 years'experience working in a skilled nursing facility in a management role
