Job summary

Great Lakes Management seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing to lead a team of healthcare professionals in a Broadwell Senior Living community. The RN will oversee resident care, safety, and medication practices while ensuring regulatory compliance and staff development.

The role emphasizes strong organizational and communication skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality elder care and fostering a supportive work environment. On-site leadership at the facility is required.

Qualifications

• Must be a MN-licensed RN.
• Experience in home health, assisted living or long-term care preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial assessment of potential residents to assure needs will be met.
• Ensure health and safety through weekly on-site visits with residents and staff.
• Provide health and medication training to new and existing staff; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Supervise medication practices and medical equipment.
• Ensure staff follow all resident care procedures.
• Assist in development and implementation of policies and procedures.
• Ensure residents meet admission criteria and reassess for potential alternate placement.
• Develop and review service plans at least annually.

Education

RN (Registered Nurse) licensed in MN

Assistant Director of Nursing Job Details:

• Location – Broadwell Senior Living
• Pay – $85,000 - $95,000 per year

Assistant Director of Nursing Responsibilities:

• The Assistant Director of Nursing completes initial assessment of potential residents to assure that their needs will be met.
• Ensure that the health and safety of all residents are met through weekly on-site visits with the residents and staff.
• Supports the Director of Staff Development to provide health and medication training to all new employees as well as continued education for all staff and documents such training to assure compliance with state, federal and local regulations.
• Supervises medication practices and medical equipment being used in the building.
• Assures that staff clearly understands and follow all resident care procedures.
• Assists in the development of policies and procedures and implementation of them.
• Assures residents maintain admission criteria, reassess and recommend alternative placement if necessary.
• Implements service agreements with all new residents. Reviews and revises service plan as needed and a minimum of 1x per year.

Assistant Director of Nursing Qualifications:

• RN (Registered Nurse) in the State of MN
• A minimum of one year experience in home health, assisted living or long-term care is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience using resident record computerized systems.
