Job summary

Park Place at Winghaven, a Sonida Senior Living community, is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to lead nursing teams, ensure compliance, and maintain high standards of resident care in a skilled senior living setting.

You will conduct assessments, guide service packages, oversee policy implementation, and collaborate with staff to deliver compassionate care while meeting state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Two-year professional nursing experience in a senior living care setting.
• Two-years supervisory/management experience with direct care staff.
• Some states may allow for this to be an unlicensed position (WI, TX, SC)

Responsibilities

• Maintain nursing policies reflecting current standards while complying with laws and facility philosophy of care.
• Communicate policies to staff and monitor implementation.
• Conduct resident assessments and suggest service packages to residents and families as directed.
• Ensure delivery of compassionate quality care with adequate staff and proper cleanliness and safety.
• Demonstrates knowledge of Key Clinical Quality Indicators.
• Review 24-hour unit reports to ensure timely responses to condition changes and incidents.
• Document significant changes in resident condition and incidents per agency policies and state regulations.

Assistant Director Of Nursing Responsibilities Include

• Maintains and implements nursing policies and procedures that reflect current standards of nursing practice, company, and facility philosophy of care and practices while maintaining compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
• Communicates and interprets policies and procedures to nursing staff. Monitors practices for effective implementation and achievement of results.
• Conducts resident assessments, suggesting level of needed service packages to residents and their families, as directed.
• Ensures delivery of compassionate quality care evidenced by adequate services and staff coverage for the facility, appropriateness of staff, absence of odors, cleanliness, absence of pressure wounds, and apparent maintenance of optimal physical, mental and, psychosocial function.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and application of Key Clinical Quality Indicators.
• Reviews 24-hour report from every unit daily to ensure timely, effective responses to significant changes in condition, transfers, discharges, use of physical or chemical restraints, unexplained injuries, potential abuse or neglect, medication errors, loss of resident property, or any evidence of resident or family dissatisfaction, as directed.
• Listens and documents significant changes in condition of residents; including, but not limited to, incidents, unexplained injuries, medication errors, loss of resident property, or evidence of resident or family dissatisfaction per agency policies and state regulations.
