Job Summary:

The Wisconsin Badgers are looking for an Assistant Director of Live Event Production who has a passion for fan engagement and brand development to manage the live productions and content creation for video board events. This role should be pursued by a self- motivated individual with a keen eye for trending styles and innovative ideas.

Responsibilities:
Directs, develops, and/or produces broadcast and/or digital content and production materials in one or more areas for programming. Directs, develops, and coordinates production strategy and process, that may include staff, creative, financial, technological, and administrative components to increase audience engagement.
  • 20% Directs, researches, and develops production strategy and/or creative and editorial processes and content for one or more programs across broadcast and digital platforms
  • 20% Directs and schedules the work of staff for production, development, and editing of content which may include identifying topics, themes, and/or guests, conducting pre-interviews or interviews, writing, and/or integrating content for multimedia platforms
  • 20% Oversees and/or performs daily operational activities for live and pre-produced content
  • 10% Develops and maintains reports of content evaluation and metrics for stakeholders
  • 20% May serve as a liaison to internal and external stakeholders. Collaborates with other content creators in pre- to post-production processes
  • 10% Maintains familiarity with studio equipment and/or applicable technology for production

Education:

Preferred
Bachelor's Degree
Graphic Design, Broadcasting, Communications, or related field.

Qualifications:

- Experience with Daktronics or similar LED software and equipment, preferably in a Division I or professional sports environment
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software, including Premiere/After Effects/Photoshop/Illustrator, to create graphics and videos
- Ability to work nights and weekends as required by events
- Extensive knowledge of audiovisual methods, mediums and techniques used for live video production
- Proven artistic skills and creativity
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a time-sensitive, fast-paced environment
- Effective oral and written communication skills

Full Time: 100%

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.

Salary:

Minimum $71,994 ANNUAL (12 months)

Additional Information:

Conditions of Appointment: This is a 100% Academic Staff appointment. Salary will be assigned within the appropriate range, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. An excellent benefits package is also included.
