We are seeking a collaborative, innovative, and service-oriented human resources professional to join our leadership team as Assistant Director of Human Resources supporting our Public School Division.

Your impact:

As the Human Resources Assistant Director, you perform intermediate professional and administrative work assisting the Director with managing and administering a comprehensive, unified human resources program. In the public school division, you have the unique opportunity to combine human resources leadership with public service.

This position allows you to support employees, strengthen the organization, build community partnerships, develop future leaders, and ultimately contribute to student success by ensuring that schools have the talented and supported workforce they need.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with school administration, school board, principals, and assistant principals
• Experience supporting school leadership with employee relations, staffing, performance management, and personnel matters
• Previous experience in Human Resources within a public school division or public education
• Knowledge of public-sector employment practices and school division policies
• Knowledge of education licensure/certification requirements and personnel regulations
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and organizational initiatives
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills
