Job summary

Chick-fil-A I-10 and La Cienega is searching for an Assistant Hospitality Director to support operations and develop Team Members. This leader's focus includes guest satisfaction, operational excellence, and creating a positive work environment.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, a strong commitment to team development, and must be available for flexible hours. Competitive pay and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in Hospitality Management, Business, Organizational Leadership, Foodservice, or Culinary Management.
  • Availability allows for 35+ scheduled hours per week in the restaurant. This is not a remote position.
  • Must have open availability five days per week, including Friday and Saturday.

Weare looking for people with passion, people with a desire to serve others, and people with heart thatwill join our Chick-fil-A family and provide our guests a clean, efficient, and quality experience in aprofessional manner.At Chick-fil-A, the Assistant Hospitality Director is responsible for supporting the Hospitality Director in leading Front of House operations, developing Team Members and Leaders, and ensuring consistent execution of Chick-fil-A standards for hospitality, speed, accuracy, and cleanliness. This leader is expected to proactively assess the business, identify opportunities for improvement, coach and develop others, and help create a positive, efficient, and welcoming environment for both Guests and Team Members.

Responsibilities include:
Hospitality & Guest Experience
  • Support the Hospitality Director in leading Great Food, Fast & Accurate Service, and Genuine Hospitality
  • Ensure Team Members consistently execute the restaurant vision: Every Guest Leaves with a S.M.I.L.E
  • Model and coach Chick-fil-A's Recipe for Service, Second Mile Service, and proactive hospitality
  • Identify opportunities to create memorable Guest experiences, including signature service and appropriate random acts of kindness
  • Support Guest recovery and respond to CARES and other guest concerns in a timely, professional manner
Team Member & Leadership Development
  • Build strong relationships with Team Members and understand their strengths, interests, and development needs
  • Coach Team Members and Leaders toward stronger performance, communication, problem-solving, and leadership
  • Identify emerging leaders and partner with the Hospitality Director to create development opportunities
  • Provide frequent, timely feedback and hold others accountable in a respectful and consistent manner
  • Help create a positive, professional work environment by addressing gossip, negativity, and poor teamwork
Operational Leadership
  • Lead shifts with urgency, organization, awareness, and the ability to adapt to changing business needs
  • Continuously assess restaurant conditions and adjust positioning, priorities, and resources to support smooth operations
  • Ensure strong execution of speed, accuracy, cleanliness, stocking, hospitality, and restaurant systems
  • Maintain compliance with opening, transition, closing, food safety, labor, break, and restaurant standards
  • Support shift accounting, cash management, inventory, smallwares, and other operational responsibilities as assigned
Business Assessment & Continuous Improvement
  • Regularly review restaurant performance and identify opportunities to improve Guest experience and operational results
  • Monitor key metrics, including guest feedback, speed of service, accuracy, labor, productivity, and cleanliness
  • Use data and observations to identify trends, develop action plans, and measure progress
  • Adjust strategies when results are not improving and communicate expectations clearly to the team
  • Bring solutions and recommendations to the Hospitality Director rather than only identifying problems
Communication & Accountability
  • Attend weekly meetings prepared to discuss performance, goals, Team Member development, challenges, and next steps
  • Communicate policies, priorities, expectations, and operational updates clearly to Leaders and Team Members
  • Utilize Slack, email, Google Workspace, and other approved tools effectively
  • Maintain accurate documentation and complete assigned administrative responsibilities on time
  • Follow through on commitments, enforce expectations consistently, and complete coaching or disciplinary documentation when necessary
Special Projects:
  • Assist the Hospitality Director and Owner/Operator with additional tasks and projects as needed
