The Assistant Director of Financial Aid at Simpson University leads the accurate packaging and awarding of federal, state, and institutional aid, ensuring timely delivery and policy alignment. This role supervises Financial Aid Technicians and collaborates with campus partners to maintain compliance and comprehensive reporting.
Strong knowledge of CSAC, IRS, and DOE regulations, Cal Grant processes, and robust MS Office skills are required.
The Assistant Director of Financial Aid is responsible for the timely delivery of financial aid consistent with Simpson University policy and regulatory agencies, as well as all related financial reporting and compliance activities. Primary duties include oversight of packaging and awarding student financial aid, reconciliation of Cal Grant and federal grants, management of Simpson University endowed and non-endowed student scholarships and all related compliance areas. This position supervises the Financial Aid Technician positions. Secondary duties include student budget revision, outside scholarship processing, periodic file reviews, reporting and customer service. This position also serves as the certifying financial aid official for Simpson University.
