Lexington Leadership Foundation is seeking an Assistant Director of Finance to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial operations in Lexington, KY. Qualifications

• Experience with accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of nonprofit finance practices, including grant accounting, fund reporting, and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets; familiarity with QuickBooks or similar systems is preferred.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and support program and leadership teams.
• Demonstrated integrity, discretion, and commitment to ethical financial practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus.
• Prior experience in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization is beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Lexington, KY, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Role Description

The Assistant Director of Finance is a full-time, on-site role based in Lexington, KY, responsible for supporting the financial leadership and stability of Lexington Leadership Foundation. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with budgeting and forecasting, managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial reports, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
