Friends Homes, Inc. is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Environmental Services to lead housekeeping and laundry across our Continuing Care Retirement Community. This hands-on leader will focus on cleanliness, infection prevention, hospitality, and teamwork in a senior living environment.

As Assistant Director of EVS, you will support regulatory readiness, quality standards, and infection prevention while ensuring exceptional service for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in Environmental Services, Housekeeping, or Laundry Operations within a healthcare, long‑term care, hospital, or senior living environment.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Hospitality, Environmental Services, or related field preferred.
• EVS or Healthcare Housekeeping Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct, supervise, organize, and oversee housekeeping and laundry operations across the community.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and infection prevention per regulations.
• Ensure infection control and safe linen-handling procedures.
• Monitor laundry inventory, workflow, and turnaround times for timely resident service.
• Conduct inspections and regulatory readiness activities for surveys and audits.
• Provide strong hands-on leadership.

Friends Homes is seeking an experienced and service-minded Assistant Director of Environmental Services to help lead housekeeping and laundry operations across our Continuing Care Retirement Community. What You’ll Do

• Direct, supervise, organize, and oversee housekeeping and laundry operations throughout the community
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and infection prevention in compliance with: OSHA, CDC, infection prevention practices, Healthcare and long‑term care regulations
• Ensure proper infection control and safe linen‑handling procedures
• Monitor laundry inventory, workflow, and turnaround times to ensure timely service for residents and the facility
• Conduct inspections, quality assurance rounds, and regulatory preparedness activities for state surveys, infection control audits, life safety inspections, and other reviews
• Provide strong hands on leadership

Qualifications

Required qualifications include:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in Environmental Services, Housekeeping, or Laundry Operations within a healthcare, long‑term care, hospital, or senior living environment.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Hospitality, Environmental Services, or a related field.
• Experience in a Continuing Care Retirement Community, Skilled Nursing Facility, or hospital environment.
• EVS or Healthcare Housekeeping Certification.
