Job summary

Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking a technical support professional at the Omni Orlando at ChampionsGate. This role involves providing administrative and operational support to the Director of Engineering Services to manage the Engineering Department and ensure smooth operations of the property.

The successful candidate will assist in preventive maintenance tasks, coordinate activities, and be responsible for the engineering staff in the absence of the director. Familiarity with Omni’s systems and emergency procedures is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in upkeep of preventive maintenance and keep logs.
• Procure supplies and issue purchase orders.
• Review work orders and assign priorities.
• Maintain inventories of repair and maintenance supplies.
• Respond to guest requests and coordinate staff activities.
• Assume responsibility for the department in absence of the Director.

Omni Orlando at ChampionsGate is surrounded by 36 holes of championship Orlando golf and 15 acres of recreation. The four‑diamond resort offers walk‑out golf, a signature Mokara spa, five dining options, and extensive pools and recreational activities.

Overview

Provide technical, administrative, and operational support to the Director of Engineering Services while assisting in the planning, coordination, and daily management of the Engineering Department to ensure efficient operations and maintenance of the property.

Essential Functions

• Assist the Director of Engineering Services in full upkeep of preventive maintenance, including keeping logs on work done, scheduling, and assigning projects.
• Assist in the procurement of supplies and issuance of purchase orders.
• Review work orders and assign work by priorities.
• Maintain up‑to‑date inventories of heat, light & power and repair and maintenance supplies.
• Respond to guest requests.
• Work with the Engineering staff on a shift basis and coordinate their activities.
• Assume full responsibility for the Engineering Department in the absence of the Director of Engineering Services.
• Have a thorough understanding of Omni’s fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation.
• Have a thorough understanding of Omni’s job scenarios.
• Be familiar with Omni’s Systems and Services procedures.
