You will oversee patient and retail dining, coordinate catering, and lead a team of associates to deliver nutritious meals while supporting client relations and financial goals.

The role requires 3 years of healthcare food service management, CDM certification preferred, or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• 3 years of food service management experience, preferably in healthcare, or related settings.
• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or willingness to obtain within first year.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Works with the Director, Chef and management team to create nutritious, high-quality food.
• Implements new culinary programs with marketing and culinary teams.
• Maintains excellent client relationships.

Job Summary

As an Assistant Director of Dining Services I, you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day food service operations at a hospital in Covington, TN. This will include patient and retail dining services, as well as caterings. You will manage and lead a team of associates, and will be responsible for talent development, managing client relationships, profitability, and supporting financial goals in an assigned area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Works with the Director, Chef and management team in creating nutritious and top quality food.
• Implements new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary teams.
• Maintains excellent relationships with the client.
• Hands-on leadership. This role manages, trains, and develops associates.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of food service management experience, preferably in healthcare, but will also consider backgrounds inhotels, corporate dining, education, military, restaurants
• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or willingness to obtain a CDM in the first year of employment
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Financial experience and business acumen skills.
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
• Associate’s degree is preferred.
