Cornell University seeks an Assistant Director of Counseling & Psychological Services (Embedded Services) to lead campus mental health initiatives in collaboration with CAPS leadership. Our providers include psychologists, social workers, and mental health counselors from diverse cultural and clinical backgrounds. CAPS providers value students in all of their individuality and are committed to welcoming all people with respect and sensitivity. Our providers regularly collaborate with Cornell Health’s diverse array of healthcare providers as an integrated service that supports both the mind and the body.
The Assistant Director of Counseling & Psychological Services - Embedded Services provides organizational leadership in university mental health initiatives in collaboration with the Director and other members of the CAPS leadership team. Specifically, this position oversees the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of embedded clinical services and sites throughout campus, working to establish strong working partnerships with academic colleges and units. In addition, the Assistant Director guides the vision for ongoing staff development, supervises a team of Counselor Therapist staff, and provides direct clinical services in a limited capacity.
